Household Organizing Tips for Creating and Optimizing Multiple Spaces for Boot and Shoe Storage
Household Organizing Tips for Shoe Storage:
One of the most common organizing problems that people face is finding sufficient space for shoe storage. It's no wonder when you consider all the footware that your family owns, including kid's shoes, adult shoes, summer, fall, winter and spring footware, dress, casual and special occassion shoes. But no matter how may pairs of shoes and boots you own, you can get them organized. The solution is to create multiple storage spaces in your home using shoe organizers. We'll show you how to harness your shelves, floors, doors, and closets for shoe storage.
To optimize your shelf space, use stackable shoe boxes. There are many varieties to choose from but we recommend that you pick transparent boxes with either a drop front or a drawer for easy access. These boxes are also perfect for underbed storage as they provide protection against dust and dirt.
In areas with available floor space, use cabinets, shoe trees, and/or racks. Cabinets and trees are great stand alone organizers for bedrooms. Racks work for mudrooms and entryways as well as inside closets.
Doors are another space that can be harnessed for shoe storage. Specially designed overdoor shoe organizers can be used on bedroom and closet doors to store up to 30 pairs of shooes at a time.
In addition to your closet doors, you can use the rod inside the closet to hang shoe bags. These easy to install fabric shoe cubicles enable you to use excess closet space to neatly stow your footware.
These are our tips for maximizing your shoe storage space. Now, we want to hear yours!
