Locker Organizing Tips for Arranging Your Containers to Make the Best Use of Your Space
By applying organizing techniques to arrange your containers, you can optimize your use of locker space. These techniques will help you to stretch your space, store more of what matters, quickly locate your belongings, and access them easily.
Start at the top. If your locker is really high, recognize that it could create an inconvenience if you store frequently used belongings there. For this reason, it's generally always best to use this shelf and other more out of the way spaces to store rarely used items. In addition, try to choose belongings that are lighter to make it easier to put them into place and to avoid potential injury should they fall. If necessary, adjust the top shelf up or down to fit the containers.
Move on to the next shelf. Try to avoid storing one container in front of the other as this could make it difficult to find and access things later and, don't forget to face the side of the container with the label outwards for easy identification of it's contents.
Reserve middle shelves for storing belongings belongings in heavy use, like sports gear and tools. These shelves are the most accessible making it easy to retrieve things and convenient to put them back in their place.
The bottom shelves are best for medium to long term storage as they are more out of the way. They're also convenient and safe for storing heavy items since little effort is required to lift things into place and there's no where for stuff to fall so risk of injury is reduced.
By arranging your containers according to tried and tested organizing principals, you'll enjoy a number of benefits. You'll be able to store more of what matters to you and, you'll be able to retrieve things quickly and easily.
